Professor Chaim Gans is a Senior Fellow at Molad.  A full Professor of Law at the University of Tel Aviv, his research interests include Legal, Moral, and Political Philosophy. His writings deal primarily with questions of nationalism and Jewish nationalism specifically, duty to the law, and philosophical analysis various public issues. Gans holds a B.A. in Law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, an M.A. in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Oxford University. In 2011, Gans was awarded the Landau Prize for Science and Research for Political Science and International Relations and in 2012 he was awarded the Hashin Prize for academic excellence in the field of law. Gans has written a number of books in both English and Hebrew. His latest Hebrew book Three Zionisms and Post-Zionism: Political Theory for the Jewish People was awarded the Bahat Prize for outstanding academic manuscripts in 2011.
