Michael Sfard

Michael Sfard is an expert in international human rights law, laws of war (humanitarian law) and Israeli administrative law and is one of preeminent human rights lawyers in Israel. Sfard has represented various human rights groups, peace organizations, Palestinian individuals and communities as well as Israeli activists.  He receieved his B.A. in Law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and his M.A. in International Human Rights Law from University College London (UCL). His books include: The Last Spy (2007) co-authored with Marcus Klingberg, Wall of Folly: The Separation Fence — Security or Avarice?” (2008) co-authored with Shaul Arieli and The Refusnik Trials (2004) for which he served as co-editor along with Dov Hanin and Sharon Rotbard.
