Dr. Dimitry Shumsky

Research Fellow
Dr. Dimitry Shumsky is a lecturer in Israel Studies and the history of modern nationalism in the Department of the History of Jewish People and Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His main research interests include the History of Zionism, the Yishuv and Israeli Socidety, Modern Nationalism, and the Jews of Central and Eastern Europe. His book, Between Prague and Jerusalem: Prague Zionism and the Idea of a Binational State in Palestine, which already appeared in Hebrew (Zalman Shazar Center: 2010), will soon be published by the University of Pennsylvania Press.
