Aviv Tatarsky

Research Associate

Aviv Tatarsky is a researcher at the “Ir Amim” organization, which focuses on Jerusalem within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His work provides him with behind-the-scenes insights into Israeli policies in Jerusalem and how the capital of the Jewish state grapples with the reality of being a binational city.

Much of his understanding stems from his activism with the “Socially Engaged Dharma” group, through which he builds close relationships with Palestinian communities and partners, gaining firsthand exposure to their lives under Israeli military rule.

In his writing for the forum, Aviv will shed light on Palestinian life under Israeli control (what we often refer to as “human rights”) and will pose questions about weakness, power, and the struggle for freedom.
